Give back!

Today, something got me wondering. I was on face book. I requested for some one to be my friend. I did not know her neither does she. But deep inside me, I have always admired her. Now it is so many months and she has ignored my request. Why? She is someone in a higher social class than mine.


Funny. How many of us, need other people to always make it to the top. We beg them, request them, ask them and sometimes, we go ahead to work for them in order to get where we are now.

And to my surprise, when we get there or even start to smell there, we become different. We start to think that we are untouchables. We close the doors. We start to ask if there had made an appointment. We start to ignore their calls or even their gestures.That those people who still want to associate with us are not to our standards.

And who are we? What have you become. You would be a nobody if God had not put you there; where you are. And you go ahead to forget that any time, God willing, you can get down. You can cease to be important moreover even to yourself.

It always does not kill to give a small gesture. Why not turn that favour? What about a favour to all those that you owe? Its a pity you have forgotten so quick.

But my dear, before you know it, God may decide to put you in your place. Your fame, projects, money, power, influence may cease to be of any importance to anyone. And imagine that. 'You' no longer important. Imagine it.

Please please, give back; at-least to your God - Almighty.
